The Heritage of Delgany Co. Wicklow

In 2016 Delgany Community Council, with financial assistance from the Heritage Council, commissioned Courtney Deery Heritage Consultants to undertake an archaeological, architectural and cultural survey of the village and its hinterland. Working with community representatives and using a variety of sources of information including local residents, former businesses, friends of Delgany along with Church records and data available through the National Library and National Archives, we are now delighted to make available for the first time, a comprehensive inventory of the rich archaeological, architectural and cultural heritage of Delgany Village.  The Heritage of DelganyThe Heritage of Delgany

National Spring Clean Day 2017

Some advance notice of our National Spring Clean Day for 2017on Sat 8th April from 10.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. meeting outside the Wicklow Arms.
Our marks in 2016 Tidy Towns competition improved noticably, so, let's try and do even better this year! Come along and bring a friend ...and any long-handled shovels, yard brushes, spades, garden shears, wheel barrows etc. that you may have. Last year there was a real sense of camaraderie in evidence, helped along by very welcome copious supplies of beautiful coffee, tea and eats from our two artisan village bakeries! Why not plan to be there, meet some new friends, have some fun and do something really worthwhile that has a definite impact on the village where we live!

It was great to see participants from all our various housing developments around the village coming along last year; we hope to see you all again this year and don't forget to bring a friend!
